Speaker Bio
Dr. Mark Carney is mathematician and cybersecurity expert who has been at the forefront of securing technology for 20 years. Formerly working at Security Research Labs GmbH in Berlin, he is now tasked with bringing his vision of new cryptography and a quantum safe future to financial services and beyond, working with industry partners to realise the benefits of a cryptographically agile future. He co-founded Quantum Village, a non-profit in the quantum technology space leading the way on open and creative approaches to quantum technologies, whilst being nominated for awards such as a SANS Difference Maker award for his work in open source tools for cryptographic agility and has been featured in the Financial Times' Tech Tonic.
