Speaker Bio
Eugénie is an Insights Manager for the Central Insights Unit, having joined GSMA in February 2022 as an Insights Analyst. In her current role, she contributes to the programme’s insights work by delivering and disseminating research on the role of mobile and digital technologies in promoting sustainable and inclusive development in low- and middle-income countries. She recently published a report on AI in Africa, identifying promising use cases across multiple sectors.
Before joining GSMA, Eugénie gained expertise in research and development finance at the French Development Agency, supporting projects in fragile and crisis-affected regions. She also built experience in impact evaluation as a Consultant for Argentina’s main water and sanitation provider, in advocacy and strategic communications at a foundation as well as in corporate social innovation with a startup, delivering training programmes for major corporations and investment funds.
Eugenie holds an MSc in International Development Management from the London School of Economics and a BA in Politics, International Studies, and Hispanic Studies from the University of Warwick.
