Speaker Bio

Julie is a global technology leader with 30 years of experience across strategic, creative, and operational levels of digital marketing. As a survivor of the dot com boom, she brings a wealth of experience in seizing opportunities and fostering innovation amidst constant change.


She loves data and design equally, using them to better understand people, create emotional connections, and deliver transformational growth.


​​Currently, she serves as the GSMA’s Head of Brand and Content Strategy, where she leads branding, content marketing and creative production. Since joining the Association, she successfully revitalised the GSMA and MWC brands to be more modern, memorable, and relevant. She’s supercharged in-house production, embedding new roles and processes, reducing the organisation’s reliance on suppliers while upskilling teams to create digital marketing that’s relevant for the AI age.


She also co-leads the GSMA's three-year Digital-First programme, ensuring strategic excellence, continuous innovation and delivery to corporate KPIs.


Before joining the GSMA, Julie held senior positions at global digital agencies including Ogilvy, Digitas, and Publicis. During her agency tenure, she successfully embedded new teams and service lines, delivered incremental revenue, and picked up a good story or two.
