Axelsson is a business innovation designer and a futurist with a strong focus on business growth and achieving goals. With over 18 years of experience in building successful cloud businesses with Hyperscalers, Axelsson has worked both as a partner and customer, as well as in collaboration with global system integrator partners on co-sell and co-developing initiatives in digital transformation.
Axelsson's extensive experience spans from start-ups to global corporations at an executive level, focusing on delivering business benefits in connectivity, networking, 5G, Cloud, Edge, IoT, AI, Security, modern work, web, and mobile for multinational enterprises. Previous roles have included CEO, CTO, Business Technology Advisor, and product and service portfolio management in multiple Cloud, Internet of Things, connectivity, and global automotive companies.
In his spare time, Axelsson has a passion for motorsport, particularly Porsche car racing, where every tenth of a second is crucial to success. Recognizing the importance of data in racing, he has applied data-driven strategies to improve performance using real-time analytics and AI to reduce lap times. Some of this data is analyzed in real-time within the car (using Edge compute), while other data is transmitted to the pit over 5G for later analysis in the Cloud. Axelsson now integrates this data-driven experience into "the real world."
