SCONDA

Information

The SCONDA Project, a groundbreaking multi-million-pound initiative funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). SCONDA aims to address the unique technical and commercial challenges of deploying 5G and OpenRAN in high-density demand areas.
Headed by AWTG and coordinated with The Scotland 5G Centre, partner leading on the dissemination, SCONDA is part of the Open Network Ecosystem Competition and will be a world-first to integrate OpenRAN and Traditional RAN in such a demanding environment. This pioneering effort aligns with AWTG’s role as a key player in multiple DSIT consortiums, delivering substantial economic and social value through expertise in OpenRAN and AI technology.
In addition to AWTG and The Scotland 5G Centre, the SCONDA Project brings together a consortium of powerhouse partners including Three, Freshwave Group, Mavenir, University of Surrey, PI Works, University of Glasgow, and Accenture.
