Speaker Bio
Damien, a General Partner at Buenavista/Conexo Ventures, is a repeat tech entrepreneur based in Boston. With more than twenty-five years of experience in the technology industry, he has excelled in areas such as telecommunications, mobile communications, electronic payments, and digital identity and security.
Damien co-founded several ventures: Way Systems (2002–2017), which was later acquired by VeriFone; Roam Data, acquired by Ingenico; and LoopPay (2014–2018), which Samsung acquired in 2015 to launch Samsung Pay and drove Mobeewave to be acquired by apple (applepay). From 2015 to 2018, he served as EVP and Head of Business Development at Samsung Pay, contributing significantly to the growth and consolidation of this mobile payment platform.
Currently leading his fourth company: firmly.ai, Damien works with major names in Silicon Valley and leading AI engines to deliver a distributed ecommerce solution.
