Speaker Bio
Jameel Asghar, Group Head of People at VEON Group, brings over two decades of experience in telecommunications and technology. He started his career with Ericsson and Nokia, leading people teams across Pakistan, the Middle East, and Africa. Jameel joined Jazz as Chief People Officer in 2016, then moved to VEON's Amsterdam headquarters in 2018 as People Director. He later served as Chief People Officer of VEON Ventures before assuming his current role. He holds a BA in Law from the University of the Punjab and is a graduate of UPenn’s Wharton School of Business – Executive Education's Chief Human Resources Officer program.
