Speaker Bio

Dimitri Dessources received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Wright State University, Dayton, OH, in 2015 and 2017.  He is currently working on his Ph.D. at the Wireless@VT lab at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.


 


Current research interests include 5G O-RAN network security; network security threat detection, identification, and mitigation; and 5G security fuzz testing testbed design. Other interests and relevant projects include 5G O-RAN threat model development, application of robust security mechanisms to non-terrestrial networks, and underwater RF communication system hardware design and software implementation and testing.
