At Wayra, Telefónica's CVC, Bruno Vidal Sa De Moraes is Managing Director of Wayra Capital, where he helps companies to gain strategic and financial returns from the venture capital market, creating and managing venture capital partnerships that align with business objectives and drive long-term impact.
Former co-founder of two start-ups in the telecoms and energy sectors and management consultant, Bruno has for many years been at the crossroads between start-ups and companies, driving commercial opportunities, problem solving, strategic thinking, negotiations and execution.
With his 16 years of experience as a founder and investor, he has witnessed first-hand the mutual value generated by partnerships between start-ups and corporations. Corporations accelerate the growth of start-ups and start-ups create corporate resilience.
While at McKinsey, he focused on telecommunications and energy, with a leadership role in the Latin America telecommunications practice. He designed corporate, growth and commercial strategies; implemented transformation programmes; and major post-merger integration projects.
