Janira Planes Frías is a Brand Strategist at HAMLET Strategic Makers, where she advises brands on developing communication and content strategies tailored to the needs and expectations of new generations. She regularly collaborates with media outlets (El Periódico, RAC1, TV3, etc.) as an expert in technology, business, and internet culture, and she is the author of Truffle Season, a newsletter exploring topics related to digital and business culture.
Previously, Janira served as Chief Communications Officer (CCO) at Wuolah, a startup in the EdTech and Creator Economy sectors, aiming to transform education for over 3 million students in Spain. During her tenure, she led brand development and communication strategy. She also contributed to the show Tardeo on Radio Primavera Sound, in the "Extremely Online" segment, where she discussed current events and internet culture.
In the educational field, Janira teaches at the Instituto Tramontana and in various master's programs on internet culture and digital communication. She holds a solid background in journalism and communication, having studied at Blanquerna - Universitat Ramon Llull and Fordham University, specializing in areas such as journalism ethics, diversity, and critical media analysis.
Her professional experience includes brand consulting for high-profile clients like Adobe, Universal Music, and Amex, as well as roles in content management and communication across multiple organizations.
