Mahamane Alassane TOURE serves as the Director General of Operations and Financial Inclusion at the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).
The BCEAO is the common central bank for eight West African countries : Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo.
Within this institution, he is responsible for coordinating several strategic areas, including the management of the regional Central Bank’s foreign exchange reserves, the design and implementation of policies for financial inclusion development, particularly in relation to payment digitization and the growth of regional Fintech activities, as well as supervision and formulation of policies for modernizing the central bank payment systems among the 8 member countries.
Mr. TOURE has 25 years of experience in the banking sector. He holds a degree in Finance from McGill University and University of Quebec in Montreal.
