Jan Hofmann is Head of Deutsche Telekom’s AI Competence Center (AICC). The AICC is responsible for developing products that drive DT’s transformation to an AI-first company. In addition, the AICC provides guidance for DT Group on cutting-edge and safe leverage of AI. Jan joined DT in 2008 at Group Strategy. In 2012, he was appointed Head of Video Advertising at subsidiary InteractiveMedia, where in 2014 he moved on to set up a product department as VP Product. From 2015 on, he led the development of a broad range of digital products at DT’s product & innovation unit. In parallel he ramped up DT’s largest AI innovation programme, which he fully focused on starting 2018. Before joining DT, Jan worked with a startup, Daimler, and Deutsche Bank, mostly in and around digital. He studied physics and product design, and holds a PhD in human computer interaction. Jan is married and father of two.
