Simon Perkins is a vastly experienced leadership figure in the telecommunications industry with a proven track record of successfully driving organisations across global markets.
Throughout his 40-year career, he has gained a reputation in the Technology, Infrastructure and Banking sectors, leading several businesses restructuring and re-financing projects, with demonstrated excellence in business turnaround, startups, mergers, and business acquisition.
Since being appointed as Cellcard’s CEO in July 2021, Simon has undertaken a complete restructuring of the business, including the successful IPO last year, and the listing of the first sustainability bond in Cambodia.
In addition to his role as Chief Executive Office of Cellcard (CamGSM), Simon is CEO for Ezecom and Telcotech, and Non-Executive Director for J-Trust Royal Bank.
Prior to leading Cellcard, he has accumulated experience and expertise in emerging markets with leadership roles across India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar and Nepal, as well as in developed markets across the United Kingdom, USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
Simon has worked for some of the biggest international telecom groups including Millicom, Axiata, Hutchison and British Telecom.
