Manuel Kohnstamm serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Liberty Global, where he leads the company's regulatory strategy, public policy, government relations, corporate communications, and corporate responsibility initiatives. As an Executive Officer, he sits on Liberty Global's Executive Leadership Team and serves on both the Regulatory & Communications Committee and the People Planet Progress Committee.
With over 25 years at Liberty Global, Manuel's career began with the company's European operations in September 1999, where he held various leadership roles in corporate affairs, public policy, and communications before assuming his current position in January 2012. Previously, he spent seven years at Time Warner Inc. as Vice President of Public Affairs in Brussels, overseeing public affairs for Time Inc., Warner Bros., and Turner Broadcasting. Prior to joining Time Warner, Manuel worked with the consulting group European Research Associates in Brussels, where he conducted macro-economic and policy studies on the telecommunications and defence industries.
Manuel chairs the supervisory board of VodafoneZiggo, a joint venture between Liberty Global and Vodafone Group. At Street Child, an international charity dedicated to improving the lives of some of the poorest and most vulnerable children in the world, Manuel serves in multiple leadership capacities - UK board trustee, chairman of Street Child Netherlands, and chairman of the EU advisory board. As chair of the EU advisory board, he is responsible for driving the European expansion of the organisation. Additionally, he chairs the foundation of the Dutch national maritime museum, one of the world's oldest maritime collections.
