Speaker Bio
Dr. Sanyogita Shamsunder is an accomplished technology executive and strategic leader with over two decades of experience driving innovation in telecommunications, cloud infrastructure, and emerging technologies. She is currently the COO at NextNav, a technology pioneer in terrestrial positioning, navigation and timing.
Prior to NextNav, Dr. Shamsunder served as Head of Global Edge Networking for Google Cloud. Her tenure at Verizon as Vice President of Product Strategy & Technology Development was marked by transformative achievements, including spearheading the company's 5G strategy and nationwide network launch as well as launching the first 4G devices.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Shamsunder held leadership positions at innovative startups in optical networking and semiconductor design, as well as positions at Bell Labs and Stanford Telecom. Dr. Shamsunder holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, an MBA from The Wharton School (with honors), and master's and bachelor's degrees in engineering.
