Speaker Bio
Founder and president of the Observatory of the Social and Ethical Impact of Artificial Intelligence (OdiseIA). She is currently working on the development of the Artificial Intelligence Regulation Sandbox with the Spanish Government, as well as on the design of the National Artificial Intelligence Seal and the Algorithm Supervisory Agency (AESIA). She is a member of the AI expert team (regulation and governance) of the Artificial Intelligence Observatory of the European Parliament, and of the World Economic Forum (WEF), and is part of UNESCO's Women4Ethical AI (W4EAI). She is co-Founder/CEO of the company Raight.ai, which works on Responsible AI projects internationally.
Salazar is a PhD. professor at CEU San Pablo University, specialising in Ethics and Regulation in Artificial Intelligence, and Director of the ENIA International Public Chair in 'Generative AI: Challenges and Risks'. Author of 4 books on the social impact of AI and other new technologies. The latest: 'The Algorithm and I: A guide to coexistence between humans and artificial beings' and 'The Myth of the Algorithm: tales and accounts of Artificial Intelligence'.
