Karyn Twaronite
EY Global Vice Chair – Diversity, Equity & Inclusiveness
Karyn Twaronite is EY Global Vice Chair – Diversity, Equity & Inclusiveness. She develops and innovates all global strategic initiatives to make EY an inclusive and equitable workplace for its 400,000 people, across 150 countries. She is responsible for strengthening the effectiveness of EY’s diverse workforce throughout the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa. Karyn and her team oversee the strategic implementation and approach to inclusiveness to attract and retain top talent, which contributes to a best-in-class client service model. Karyn created EY’s DE&I Roadmap, which helps its leaders foster an inclusive environment where all EY people can better leverage their own diverse skills, experiences and backgrounds.
To enable this cultural progress, Karyn is a member of the EY Global Practice Group (GPG), a body representing EY’s leadership from around the world, and the EY Global Talent Committee. She co-chairs the EY Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusiveness Steering Committee (GDEISC), along with EY’s Global Chair and CEO. Karyn created the Global Social Equity Task Force (GSET) and is the founding sponsor for EY’s Neuro-Diverse Centers of Excellence (NCoEs).
Karyn began her EY career as a tax professional more than 25 years ago, before shifting focus to help shape the firm’s talent, human resources and inclusiveness practices. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Miami University of Ohio and a Master’s degree in Taxation from Fordham University. She also holds a certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management from Harvard Business School and is a graduate of the Partnership for New York City’s David Rockefeller Fellows program. She is a board member of the United Way of New York City and a member of the Catalyst Board of Advisors. Karyn is a licensed CPA of New York.
Karyn works around the world, but lives in New York City with her family. She enjoys walking and running in Central Park.
