Tamara Steffens is a seasoned investor, operator, and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience, contributing to the success of early-stage consumer and enterprise startups such as Software.com and Boingo (both IPOs), Path (acquired by KakaoTalk), Acompli (acquired by Microsoft), FusionOne (acquired by Synchronoss), and Color (acquired by Apple). She currently leads the global investing team at Thomson Reuters Ventures, a $100M strategic fund focused on early-stage companies shaping the future of enterprise technology. Tamara helped found the firm in 2021. Under her leadership, it has become one of the most active corporate venture funds in North America (and beyond) within just three years. Known for her ability to scale businesses and her strategic approach to venture capital, Tamara is a recognized leader in aligning corporate innovation with startup ecosystems. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, she led investing and VC partnerships for M12, Microsoft’s venture fund. Tamara also sits on the board for the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE) under the Secretary of Commerce.
