Speaker Bio
Asli has over ten years of experience in both academia and the healthcare industry, leading projects in business development, consulting, communications and marketing. She has extensive experience in technology transfer, innovation management, business modelling, start-up creation and funding. She has worked on projects with a range of clients from big pharma to small start-ups or university spin-offs. She holds a PhD and an MSc in nanotechnology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
Asli has a unique experience in healthcare thanks to working with multiple projects in various development stages. She has worked with licence deals from phase II/phase III assets to early stage discovery/preclinical drug development assets. She also has broad experience in launching medicines in various markets. Within her portfolio at IBEC, she is responsible for drug development and medical devices mainly within rare diseases, oncology, infectious diseases and neurology.
She gives talks about ways to reach the market and encourage entrepreneurship. She is also actively mentoring to researchers to help their transition to the industry.
