Session Description

In June 2024, the United Nations has proclaimed 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. Quantum physics. This is a global initiative with the goal to understand how the quantum technologies can be applied to any sector. Therefore, 2025 should be aa deep dive into quantum computing, communication, sensing and computers for the telco industry.

GSMA cannot miss the opportunity to discuss about the Telco Strategic of Quantum technologies. This seminar helps the telco to understand the key quantum technologies use cases, but also look for new opportunities and threats, with the intention to understand where the telco industry needs to prioritize the investment and resources.

Quantum Sensors: could help telcos increase the communication ranges due to the higher sensitivity of quantum sensors.

Quantum Computing: calculation using quantum bits can solve problems faster. This can be translated into higher network performance to meet the data demand that is required those days while we are trying to minimise energy usage.

Quantum Communications to secure our communication via quantum encryption and connect quantum computers all over the call to enable us to send and receive information using quantum bits (Quantum internet)

Through this summit via keynotes and panel discussions, the audience will understand the latest advancements driving quantum technologies forward for the telco industry. Additionally, we are hoping that this summit will provide networking opportunities that will facilitate collaborations, and idea exchanges within the telco industry

Please join us to celebrate this Quantum technology year during the Mobile World Congress 2025. You will meet experts in various fields to talk about Quantum Technology strategies for the telco industry.
