He has extensive experience in healthcare management and operations, particularly within the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom. He has held various leadership positions, including Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Director of Digital Operations, Divisional Director of Operations, and General Manager in different NHS trusts. Responsibilities have encompassed areas such as performance management and procurement, risk and clinical governance, staff and financial management, as well as strategy and service improvement.
Additionally, they have a background in nursing and healthcare, with a degree from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro and additional studies at Universidade Portucalense, focusing on healthcare business management.
