Andrew Lala is the CEO of ignitia, a deep-tech company leveraging AI to develop actionable climate and weather intelligence. While at ignitia, Lala launched the climate smart agricultural advisory for smallholder farmers, extreme weather alerts, and climate risk score products to democratize climate intelligence particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
Lala is a recognized leader in climate adaptation and sustainability having led several innovative and high-impact initiatives including the Haiti Hope Project featured in the Harvard Business Review twice for “Wicked-Problem Solving” and sustainable agricultural development. Lala founded a solar energy social enterprise in West Africa where he was a Peace Corps Volunteer. He studied at The Fletcher School as a Charles Francis Adams Scholar where he focused on how the private sector can better address environmental and social challenges.
