Dr. Nahum Calvo Malvar has been specializing in Radiodiagnosis since 1998. He obtained the Doctor of Medicine degree from Rovira i Virgili University in 1996, graduating with honors (Cum Laude).
Throughout his career as a radiologist, he has been a trailblazer in the implementation of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in clinical practice, notably including Multiparametric Magnetic Resonance of the Prostate and Radiofrequency treatment for lung tumors.
He has actively participated in numerous research studies and scholarly publications.
Dr. Calvo Malvar serves as leader in the Radiomics innovation project, dedicated to the detection of image biomarkers, development of algorithms and software, and their seamless integration into clinical practice.
Additionally, he spearheads the incorporation of the first PET MRI facility into the Public Health System in Spain, with operations commencing in November 2022.
With extensive management experience in Diagnostic Imaging, he has held the esteemed position of Clinical Director of Diagnostic Imaging at the University Hospital of Bellvitge and the Southern Metropolitan Area of Barcelona since July 2016.
